St. Kitts is one of the finest places to visit in Caribbean. The wonderful white-sand beaches are very interesting to see. Most of the island is with black or gray volcanicn sand. Some of the major locations are given below.
St. Kitts Attractions:
Berkeley Memorial Clock
The British regal town of Basseterre is built around a so-called Circus, the town’s round square. You can see a tall green Victorian clock positioned in the center of the Circus. Berkeley Memorial Tower is an important landmark of St. Kitts after Brimstone Hill Fortress.
Marketplace
While in St.Kitts, don’t forget to visit marketplace, particularly on Saturday morning. You can get fresh guavas, mangoes mammee apples and wild strawberries and cherries directly from the country people. It is also possible to purchase lot of tropical flowers.
Independence Square
Independence Square is the most important landmark of St. Kitts.
Previously it was a lively slave market bounded by Georgian architectures private homes.

Mount Liamuiga
Mount Liamuiga is also called as “Mount Misery”. It sputtered its last wheeze around 1962. This inactive volcano on the northeast shore is become one of the important and interesting tourist attraction for the visitors of St. Kitts. It is amazing to see the summit of the mountain always covered by clouds.
You can get the way to climb the mountain from north end of St. Kitts at Belmont Estate. The original height of the peak is 1,138mtrs. It will take more than 5 hours to complete the round-trip walk. Most of the hikers climb or crawl down into the inactive volcano, but you should be very careful while climbing, because it is steep and slippery. You can see a small lake with volcanic rocks and range of flora at the hollow on the floor.
Half-Way Tree
It is possible to see the large tamarind tree in the small town of Half Way Tree. Previously it was the borderline between British and French held sectors. It was near the village of Old Road Town, where Sit Thomas arrived with his first group of settlers and recognized the first eternal camp to the northwest at Sandy Point. You can see the grave of Sir Thomas at St. Thomas Church Cemetery.
